Wilson YUEN founded TFI in 2010 and served as the Chief Executive Officer of the company where he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company, working with the Board and other members of management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.
With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology and Interaction Design, Wilson leads the senior management team in setting a clear direction to drive growth as well as change Hong Kong’s media history. TFI has focused on the provision of advanced and one-stop multimedia solutions such as Live Video Streaming, OTT Platform, Encoding Technology, and Big Data Analytics with presence in Hong Kong and around the world.
TFI’s mission is to bring fun content to everywhere with innovative technology. Our dedicated team has served diverse sectors, garnering industry-wide acclaims and acceptance from local one-stop OTT platform for HKTV to global live streaming service for the 35th Hong Kong Film Award.
Together with our extensive knowledge in video technologies, TFI has achieved excellent results, including CSI Awards 2016 – Shortlisted in the category “Best digital video processing technology”, APICTA (Asia Pacific ICT Alliance) 2015 – Grand Award in Media & Entertainment, Hong Kong Awards for Industries 2015 – Technological Achievement, World Summit Award 2015 – National Winner of China region in e-Business & Commerce, HKICT Awards 2015 – Best Business Solution Grand Award and Product Gold Award, 2014 Best SME ICT Grand Award and Gold Award etc. His contribution to the ICT industry and the society led him to be the 100 most influential people in Hong Kong – Technology & Digital category awarded by the Debrett’s 100 Hong Kong and the winner of Innovative Entrepreneur Award by JCI City Junior Chamber in 2015.
Prior to his role as CEO of TFI, Wilson was the Chief Information Officer of Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK), and he taught Postgraduate courses in Multimedia Technology, Interaction Design and Game Development at the Multimedia Innovation Centre – School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Wilson obtained his BSc in Applied Computing with First Class Honors from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and an MSc in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
