BYOB - What is Entrepreneurship & What Resources Available?
Entrepreneurship has become an increasingly hot topic both in HKUST and worldwide. Not surprisingly, the greater community has invested considerable efforts and resources to foster entrepreneurship. In this BYOB seminar, Prof. Chan will first give a brief introduction on what entrepreneurship is, why it has become so important, and who would be more suitable to pursue this. At HKUST, we are nurturing a vibrant and engaging entrepreneurship culture. Prof. Chan will present what is in stock for students in the campus to understand and pursue entrepreneurship, and the new programs that are being launched with the objective of funding and helping UG/PG students to begin their entrepreneurship journey. Beyond campus, he will also overview the wealth of resources available in the community on this topic. The objective of this seminar is to introduce the community various university programs on education and activities in entrepreneurship, and how to best leverage these resources to further an innovative entrepreneurial spirit.
