Find out How Hillary Yip, a teenage CEO, launched a language learning app at the age of 10!

Hillary Yip, Founder and CEO of MinorMynas, will give us an introduction of her app, MinorMynas, and the impact it has made. She will also share with us how she got inspired to build a language learning app for kids around the world, and how she embraces and overcomes the challenges along her startup journey.
In 2017, Hillary won the pitching competition "Runway to RISE", becoming one of the two Hong Kong representatives to pitch at the RISE conference. Hillary was also a speaker at TEDxTinHau to talk about her journey in education. Hillary and her idea, MinorMynas, have been featured by many media outlets including South China Morning Post, HK Economic Times, and the BBC to name a few.
MinorMynas, launched in 2017, aims to revolutionize how children learn languages by providing an engaging online platform for children to learn one another's mother tongue. As on July 30 2018, the app has over 42,000 downloads across over 50 countries.
Erwin Huang, a remarkable serial entrepreneur in Hong Kong, invested in multiple publishing, ICT and mobiles companies over the years in Mainland and places like HK, Tokyo, Silicon Valley and London. After joining the RTHK reality show ‘Rich Mate Poor Mate‘ to experience the life of people living at the bottom of the pyramid in 2009, Erwin quit his job as CEO of a major jewelry company and devote his time to working for social good. Since then, he has cofounded a number of social enterprises (including WebOrganic and Dreamstarter) and empowered the community through technology, education, and innovation. At HKUST, Erwin teaches entrepreneurship courses to help prepare students build their own future in this ever changing world.
