Description of Beginner Course (20 Sep & 27 Sep 2017)
Many businesses are discovering the power of video storytelling as text gives way to videos. Social media platforms like Facebook and Google are fast embracing video as the communication medium of choice. Mark Zuckerberg was quoted recently with “we’re entering this new golden age of video, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you fast-forward five years and most of the content that people see on Facebook and are sharing on a day-to-day basis is video.” The transformation from a world of text to one dominated by video is happening at a fast pace. In this workshop, we will walk you through an easy-to-use animation creation platform so that you have a tool to become a good video storyteller.

Description of Intermediate Course (11 Oct & 18 Oct 2017)

Storytelling is important because it is a natural way for you to connect with your audience. Storytelling can help you reach the heart and mind of your audience. In a school setting, you are often asked to give an elevator pitch. The best way to connect with and engage your audience comes from telling a good story that resonates with them. In this workshop, we will show you tips on how to storytell with videos. We will walk through some examples of what to do and what not to do. Hopefully by the end of the session, you will have a tool and the skills to become a great video storyteller.

Participants who equipped with the basic skills will get to create their own animated video and some special effects will be introduced to them. Some of the projects will be selected for share and discussion in class.
